SEE BETTER WITH HIGH TECH LENSES

Focal Point Eye Care provides digital lenses made exclusively for your unique eyes, taking into account your prescription, thickness of your prescription, the rotation of your eye, and your lifestyle. We also strive to provide you with the thinnest, lightest lenses that your prescription will permit.
Our lenses are far superior to lenses provided by online discount sites and many chain stores, which typically use lower-quality “one-size-fits-all” lenses that are more likely to scratch or break if they suffer any kind of impact.

When you buy a car, there are many options you can consider to enhance your comfort and safety.  Many people don't realize they also have options when buying glasses, and those options can also provide for enhanced comfort and safety.

As an example, if you require bi-focal or multi-focal lenses to allow you to see properly at different distances, the type of lens you choose will determine if the different focal areas are visible or seamless.  It will also determine the width of the 'sweet spot' in the lens for reading.  A narrow sweet spot means you have to move your head side to side as you read, which causes fatigue.  Higher tech lenses allow for a wider sweet spot which is more similar to reading without glasses because your eyes move instead of your head.

Our licensed opticians will help match the lens choices to your prescription and your lifestyle so that you can achieve the clearest vision possible whether you are at work or play.

SUNGLASS LENS OPTIONS

Most people think first about frame style and lens darkness when it comes to sunglasses.  We find that most patients don't realize there are lens choices that may be better for the way in which you use your sunglasses.

Our licensed opticians will work with you to understand HOW you spend your time to help you select the best combination of frames, lenses, and coating for your specific needs.

If you wear prescription glasses, many frame styles offer clip on sunglass options or even lenses that transition to sunglasses when exposed to natural light.

COMPUTER LENSES

If you spend a lot of time in front of technology, chances are that your eyes are pretty tired by the end of the day.

Computer glasses are designed for use by anyone, whether you require prescription lenses or not.  Computer glasses are designed to filter out harmful blue light waves emitted by technology, which often lead to fatigue and can interrupt sleep patterns.

If you wear prescription glasses, your eyes may still feel tired at the end of the day and you may also notice signs of neck strain.  This is often because typical prescription glasses are designed to help you see across a wider range of distances.  Patients with multi-focal lenses often find themselves tilting their head to an uncomfortable position to achieve the right position for viewing a computer display. Sound familiar?

Think of it like this.  If you play any sports, chances are you have a specific pair of shoes you wear for that sport.  You wouldn't wear baseball cleats to play basketball.  A regular pair of prescription glasses are like your multi-purpose shoe.  A pair of computer glasses are like your sport specific shoes - they are designed to help you perform your best in that specific activity.
