ARE CONTACT LENSES RIGHT FOR YOU?

Contact lens technology continues to improve every year. Even if you weren’t a candidate before—even just a few years ago—there’s a good chance you can be now.

“Soft” contact lenses are still the most common form used today. They offer the most comfort, are disposable, and can provide vision correction for both distance and near needs.

“Hard” contact lenses, also known as gas permeable contacts lenses (RGP’s), while less common than when they were first introduced decades ago, are still used by some patients because they provide crisper vision and are completely customizable to your vision needs.

To learn more about rigid gas permeable lenses, go to http://www.contactlenses.org/.

A new lens is available that blends the soft lens comfort with the hard lens optics. These are referred to as “hybrid” lenses.

DR. LYONS HELPS PATIENT WHO HAD GIVEN UP ON CONTACTS

It's been said that no two snowflakes are alike.  We've found the same to be true when it comes to working with patients that want to wear contact lenses.

There is both an art and a science to fitting contact lenses.

For the patient, the lenses need to be comfortable AND provide great vision.  Anything short of that is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, many of our first time patients come to us because they weren't able to get both comfort AND great vision from their current prescription.

Dr. Lyons understands the frustration patients feel when they aren't able to get the desired results from contact lenses and that's why he strives to always change outcomes for the patient and help them achieve comfortable, clear vision from contact lenses that are uniquely matched to their needs.

We recently received this feedback from a new patient regarding his contact lens experience with Focal Pointe Eye Care.
Please pass along my sentiments to Dr. Lyons.

Yesterday was my first experience with FPE, and I had high expectations for my visit based upon feedback from a family member’s colleague.

My expectations, although high, were most certainly met. I appreciated the time taken to answer my questions and address all of my concerns.

More importantly, the results speak for themselves. Having not been able to wear contacts for a very long time, and being given some new contacts to test with a prescription not even close to my previous on, I was both skeptical and worried. But last night, and then even more for the first half of today, have been a huge success. No irritation whatsoever. I’ve followed the instructions to remove them after a few hours and build back up to a full day of wear, but so far I am very happy.

Just wanted to say thank you for providing a great experience so far. I look forward to seeing you all in the future (pun intended).
