WHAT ARE SPECIALTY CONTACT LENSES?
List of Services
-
Scleral Contact LensesList Item 1
Scleral lenses are named such because they are slightly larger than regular contacts and rest on the white (sclera) part of your eyes. Scleral lenses are used for a number of patients with unique eye shapes that are unable to tolerate standard contact lenses.
-
Orthokeratology LensesList Item 2
Also known as Ortho-K lenses, these are worn while you sleep and are used to gently reshape your eye so you can enjoy your waking hours without glasses or contacts. Dr. Lyons has developed the Vision Reshaping System which uses Ortho-K lenses.
-
Hybrid LensesList Item 3
Typically, contact lenses are either hard or soft. Hybrid lenses are both. They combine the optical clarity of hard lenses with the comfort of soft lenses. These may be an option for patients who need hard lenses, but found them too uncomfortable.
-
Cosmetic | Prosthetic LensesList Item 4
Cosmetic lenses allow patients to enhance or even change the color of their eyes.
Prosthetic lenses can help mask color variations in eyes resulting from birth defects, injuries or eye diseases.
